Well, as mentioned before there are two types of weaves bonding (glue) and sew in. To protect the health of your hair, I would really recommend the sew in method. The glue method is quick and cheaper but there is nothing healthy about putting glue onto your fragile hair. With the sew in method, they will cornrow some of your hair and then attach the fake hair to the track with an actual needle and thread.

But weaves are expensive to put them in as well as upkeep. You would have to return to your hairstylist at least once a month for tightening and general maintenance. Weaves are great to get your hair to grow too. Also, definitely go to a professional hairstylist to get it done. Good luck.

Weave is human hair that can either be sewn or glued into your hair.

If u want your hair to be past your shoulders the best way to go is tracks. you glue them in and they flow with your natural hair. The chemical your talking about is a relaxer and it just straightens your roots out, and makes it smooth.
