Hopefully, no, people haven't done it before. It's a pretty stupid idea, I'm sorry to say. Unique, but stupid.

First of all, It's tape. You'll be able to notice it, you won't be able to touch your hair. It's more than likely the extensions will fall off, which is something I doubt you want happening.

It'll hurt pulling it off, It can possibly rip off some of your hair.

It'll also look unbelievably cheap.

Just buy clip on extensions, It's the easiest way to go.

Double-sided tape won't help. I wear extensions also. And I guess the best solution to keep it on, is to just use the glue. no, not just any kind of glue like "Elmer's".. go to a salon store and ask.
