Have you heard of the new kind you bind in strand by strand, sorry this isn't an answer, but maybe people can give you advise on this new type of extensions. (I heard they're expensive, but I'm thinking about them myself)

Having extensions can help grow ur hair a lot.

Either braids or a sew in. A sew in just looks better to me,cause U can get so many different types of hair and colors. Such as curly red hair,or straight brown hair..

I say ur safer with a sew in.

IT IS SAFER TO SEW IN EXTENSIONS..IT IS LESS STRESS ON YOUR NATURAL HAIR

Better??? not necessarily. It depends on the reason your getting extensions. There are many choices of styles with both.Many people chose braids especially this time of year, when it is HOT! as they do not want to be bothered as much with their hair, in this case I would get braids. If you want longer hair only. I would suggest getting extensions that are sewn in. It looks nicer, in my opinion, and you can style it many ways, However, Sewn in extentions require you to tighten them up more frequetly, this depends on how often you wash your hair.This may be a fee each time. I would suggest finding a stylist you feel comfortable with and get a counsultation prior to making your decision.

If money is not a factor.... go with the extentions

or get individual braids that are very thin, and use a higher grade of hair to make it look more natural.Perhaps you could comprimise and braid only the root of the individual braid, and leave the ends loose. Sometimes this also looks nice. This gives you the other option to also style your braids many different ways, even curl the ends.

sewn in extensions work well, but they dont always look natural. you should try just getting human hair braids, that will make your hair grow faster, i should know i have them now, and my hair has grown alot.
