What is the differance between u tip and I tip pre tipped hair extensions??

U-Strand hair

Heat method using the Fusion Iron to melt the glue tips onto your hair. It's faster and more convenient than the traditional hair fusion. Hair fusion involves melting a glue stick in a glue gun and attaching the hair. In U-Strand hair extensions, the hair comes pre-tipped with keratin glue. It's quick and easy. Usually, to do a whole head of hair extensions with these pre-tipped hairs, you will need at least 150 strands. Slippage may occur due to normal wear and tear, especially when washing. But the hair can be re-attached by melting the glue tip again with heating iron. You can usually wear them for about 3 months. The hair extensions will grow out with your own hair and you'll want to have it re-attached depending on the condition of the hair.

I-Tip hair

A non-heat method that is applied with a Ring and a rinxer . Just like the U-Strand, the I-Strand is a pre-glued / pre-tipped hair extensions. Usually for those who prefer not to have the glue melted on their own hair. This method takes longer to attach, but it does not involve any heated glue on your hair. Some people choose this method over the U-Strand because they do not feel comfortable about having glue on their hair. But it's just as safe. Usually to do a whole head of hair extensions with these pre-tipped hairs, you will need at least 150 strands. Slippage may occur, but the hair can be re-attached. This is just due to normal wear and tear. As you shampoo and condition, your hair will get slippery so some strands may slide off. But not to worry, it can be re-attached. This method usually cost more to put on than the U-Strand because it takes much longer to apply.

You can also wear these for about 3 months. The hair extensions will grow out with your own hair and you'll want to have it re-attached depending on the condition of the hair. It's simple to remove. Just re-shape the ring back into its original shape with the clamper.
