Use the beehive braid. Thats where you start braiding from the outside of you hair to the middle in a circle. It won't get fat if you dont pick up too much hair while braiding.

i actually do hair for a living and using glue does damage your hair. but it also depends on how well u take of your hair is y it can be as damaging. if u are to use glue on your extensions then u need to make sure that u try not to get ANY of it on the hair. yes its hard to do but u want to make sure that u are gluing the extension to your scalp and not your hair. having hair sewn in is the best way to get it it done but that can also be damaging as well because of the pullin that some ppl do. but wen u get ready to remove the glue u would want to either buy hair glue remover and u can purchase it at any hair store or u can massage conditioner onto the scalp but DO NOT PULL the extensions out u want to massage them out. if u use enough condintioner of glue remover they will easily slide out with ease.

there is glue bond remover. check out the local beauty supply store. Or you can use oil sheen or conditioner. Make sure the hair is saturated because that glue will rip your hair out. Good Luck!

Well, both answers you have gotten are fine. But, go with peanut butter first. Your hair will be greasy afterwards, but that will wash out. If you freeze the gum out, you will have the problem of your hair probably coming out with the gum when you break it out.

Get a plastic bag and put some ice in it (or use a frozen drink bottle). If you keep it against the gum for a while it will turn hard, meaning it won't be as sticky when pulling it out. Use a finely toothed comb to get out any extra little bits, and wash your hair with a good shampoo!

Hair grows about 6in a year so it would take about...6 years on average. If your hair grows more than 6 inches in a year, then it will take less than 6 years. It takes long to get your hair out to that length. My friend hasn't cut her hair since she was a little kid and her hair is about. Just loose the extensions (they damage hair really bad) and take really good care of it and it should grow a little faster. You can also take vitamins with biotin which make your hair and nails grow faster and avoid the straightner as much as you can. Good luck =)

Shaggy hair seems to be out these days, but a shorter cut could let you do fun stuff with styling. Bangs are also great because they're so easy to move and change to look.

I'd suggest going to a salon and looking over their magazines- they often have many, and ANYTHING can be rock if you play it right.

Personally, I think asymmetrical cuts are really great for this.

Whether it's a new-fashioned mullet (honestly!) or something out there like that kid on Project Runway, find something that suits your comfort level and wear it with style.

So, I'm getting my hair changed completely.

I already know for sure I'm going to get extensions to add volume + length.

But, I don't know colours to dye my hair or what part of my hair to dye (would look sort of odd to have ALL of my hair one crazy colour, right?) .

I was thinking maybe teal, turqoiuse, and/or/white.

Cool! Those pics of those girls are awesome. Wish I was that brave and young to do that. One of the girls had just the ends of her "on top" hair dyed. Pair that with streaks of the colour underneath ( in your extensions) and you should look beautiful. Turquoise would look so nice on you. Good luck!

I think that you should look into some volumizing shampoos, they give your hair lift while keeping it healthy, just be sure to blow dry your hair with a barrel brush.

Try using voluming shampoos or gels.Or try teasing but not a lot of it or else you'll look really fake.Try getting layers in your hair it will make your hair appear thicker.Getting a really moisturizing conditioner like Tresseme or Cortex will strengthen it and will keep it strong and will eventually make it thicker.Tresseme you can get any where but Cortex is a little pricier.Try getting curls,my mother has really frizzy thin hair and when she got curls she has nice curly volumized hair.

i have to blow dry my hair and then straighten it if i want it straight. So if you blow dry your hair make sure to clip the top of your hair up and then blow dry the rest of your hair straight downward. Then when you blow dry the top make sure you start at the roots and dry them upward. After that straighten your hair, but make sure you dont put the straightener directly on your roots. Tease your hair x584920. Use lots of hair spray and definitly some wax.

Better??? not necessarily. It depends on the reason your getting extensions. There are many choices of styles with both.Many people chose braids especially this time of year, when it is HOT! as they do not want to be bothered as much with their hair, in this case I would get braids. If you want longer hair only. I would suggest getting extensions that are sewn in. It looks nicer, in my opinion, and you can style it many ways, However, Sewn in extentions require you to tighten them up more frequetly, this depends on how often you wash your hair.This may be a fee each time. I would suggest finding a stylist you feel comfortable with and get a counsultation prior to making your decision.

If money is not a factor.... go with the extentions

or get individual braids that are very thin, and use a higher grade of hair to make it look more natural.Perhaps you could comprimise and braid only the root of the individual braid, and leave the ends loose. Sometimes this also looks nice. This gives you the other option to also style your braids many different ways, even curl the ends.

To get your hair like Dani's you will need short choppy layers. Since they are better for teasing. You could probably tease first then clip in the extensions. You might have to go back and fix parts of your hair so you won't be able to see where you clipped the extensions in though.

Use mousse!!!! That will help with volume and teasing. Remember, though, that it seems this model has had her hair cut to have much longer layers on the bottom than on the top, so you'd have to have your hair cut to get like this.

As for putting stripes in front, maybe just find some really bright clips or barrettes to put in front, as dyeing your hair is a little permanent. It's much cuter to have a splash of color through a barrette (which you can change to match your outfit) rather than through a whole strip of hair.

if there isnt damage from the braids, then as soon as you like. Personally i would reccomend waiting 2 weeks, and you should baby your hair for this period, but it isnt necessary. You do need to wait after getting a relaxer to get braids again tho. your hair is very fragile after a relaxer. It needs time to regain some strength after the process, not much before it assuming you hair is in decent condition to have it done. If you have breakage from the braids, get a different braider and dont get them till you have your hair healthy again. If there is no damage you could get the relaxer the same day, but i would advise using 2 weeks of protein treatments and moisturizers to give your hair an extra boost before the relaxer, and follow up with that same protein/moisture treatment for a few weeks after the relaxer, to replenish the protein lost in the relaxing process *its normal to loose some protein, that what relaxers do, they break the protein responsible for curls, so you need to heal that protein, but since its relaxed it will heal in a straight configuration.

From the looks of it and how it's placed in the hair, I can tell you that it's going to be a horrid disaster. I'm not kidding. It looks like the seller of this product tyed the synthetic hair on a spring. All you do to attach it to your hair is squeeze the spring, place it on your hair, and release. Your hair will get stuck or knotted in it. Not a good idea. If you know how to sew, or know someone who does, you can buy weft of hair instead, along with clip ins, sew the weft onto the clips and voila, create your own clipon extensions. A lady in L.A. showed me how.

I think it would look cool with that style if you died random sections of your hair shades of blue ... basically what you said, with the teal, turquoise, and light blue, but leave the extensions black. Then maybe a couple of thin and/or thick black streaks in the parts you died, to kinda rough it up a bit.

Ok so i looked at your pics. however, i do feel that you need to ditch the glasses and get some contacts to bring out your great jaw line.. and i would get rid of the bangs and go with a redish brown color for your hair. Yes i would highlight and do that here. My best suggestion is to bring a pic of beyone knowles hair color (not style) to your dresser and see she can work that color with you. Also bring those ends of your hair in and up a little bit OR use a GOOD (maybe expensive) defrizzer and a frizz serum to get rid of the rough look . I would also make a wispy side bang to go with it. you have a great skin color and great jaw line and prob an even more gorgeous forhead.. but i feel like your hiding it all under that hair. I doubt there would be. It depends on the kind of extensions you get though. There's the kind you glue in, and the kind you have to get woven in. If your hair is really curly, I think you would want to straighten your hair before you go, anyway, so you can see what length the extensions should be to look the best. If your hair is curly, and the extensions are straight, it wouldn't look so hot. ; )

I am an African American female who is considering joining the navy. I am not at all vain but I know that if I wear my hair down for several months in addition to regular swimming it will fall out and not grow back. I have several bald or balding female relatives as evidence. I want to know if you can wear hair braids (extensions) at boot camp if they are regulation length. Really want to join the navy. Think it is the best branch no offense to the others but I do not want to make myself bald for it.

Yes you can, but you need to get all the female hair regulations from your recuiter. Just so you know also, your extensions will grow out before you are done with boot camp and then you will need to cut them off. Then what are you going to do. I saw this first hand when I was in boot camp. Black females did not have an easy time of things with their hair while in training. You do have different needs as far as hair care goes and you can take care of these issues to a certain extent. If you do do this make sure your hair extensions are short and small. You have to wear a hat everyday almost all day and if this baseball style hat doesn't work with the uniform you will be forced to get a hair cut. 9 weeks is a long time to deal with hair issues so do your research on the subject. Type in Navy Uniform Regulations into your search engine and look up female hair regulations. There is nothing fancy allowed, especially in boot camp. Straight rows, no fashion styled parting, just basic corn rows without beads or colored rubberbands, pony tails or clips You are also not allowed to bring wax, oils or perming supplies with you. It is a hard task to figure out, but the more you know the better your time at boot camp. The Navy is the best, but the other branches are just as tough on female hair issues.
