I want to bleach my hair and get extensions...can anyone give me some advice?

1. My hair is naturaly red, and I've heard that its really hard to bleach red hair. My hair is already damaged badly because i straighten it with a flat iron at least twice every day. I want it like a platinum blonde color, but I'm afraid that my hair will fall out if i bleech it.

2. I want extensions too, but i also heard that they can ruin your hair badly. i don't know much about them at all, though. Can anyone help me?

Well I would not bleach your hair blonde.. I would you just get extensions but get it red then get some blonde hightlights and if you like it..just keep get more each time you go to a salon.

Take Care

i would go to a professional place and get your hair examined and then see what they say. It sounds like you've already done a number on your hair and to make sure you dont kill it, which you have pretty much, i would go to a pro place.

Btw no its not hard to bleach red hair, it is black that is hard.

well since you straighten your hair a lot and its very damaged extensions are really going to ruin your hair ALOT MORE some extensions are very expensive depends which ones you get...but good luck choosing what to do...i say don't do it unless you want your hair to get worse

let your hair be NATURAL for about 2 months and then do what you ant with it. during the 2 months, dont flat iron it either!

DO NOT bleach your hair. Especially if it is already badly damaged, it will kill your hair. Get a deep conditioning treatment [I recommend Joico KPAK Deep-Penatrating Reconstructer] and use it every other day until your hair gets better. Also on the days that you're NOT using the deep conditioner use a moisturizer on your hair. Red hair is very difficult to bleach out, you'll probably have to heavily highlight it for a while to eventually achieve blonde. But don't color it at all till it gets better. [at least two months from now] If you can try cutting back on using your flat iron, and if you don't already have one, get a real ceramic straightener. Extentions are really bad for your hair if you get the kind that use glue, the ones that are sewn in aren't as bad. But, I would wait till your hair is in better condtion. Good Luck. [:

I Bleached my hair and it takes quite a while to get it to the exact color you want. If your hair is really damaged most hair dressers will not bleach your hair. If you Straighten your hair often you are sapposed to use a heat protecting spray for your hair. Anyways, before you bleach your hair you should get it as healthy as you can. Put alot of Conditioner and if you end up bleaching it I suggest using blue or purple shampoo it makes your hair not go yellow.

On to number 2 i have extensions and i used clip In's their 100-400 depends on the length you get them... if you get clip ins their easily removed. if you get the kind that is weaved in, it is extremely painful trust me and you will not want them in for long.

Anyways good luck with the new look.
