you can use super glue - seriously. no - seriously! my hair dresser told me (while i was having cornrows done)

That's just a fancy name for regular ol' hot glue sticks. If you don't find the fancy specialized ones at Sally, etc., just get regular hot glue sticks at a craft store or hardware store.
